Little Stars & Who Let The Coves Out

Every Thursday and Friday, parents and guardians meet together with their wee ones at our Little Stars program. It is a safe, friendly and inclusive environment for children to learn through playing and interacting with others. A place for both parents and children to make new friends and a place where everyone is valued and treated with respect.

Our Services

1

Little Stars

Little Stars is our main group. All are welcome to come with their little ones, to enjoy spending time with other parents and guardians, and to have a place to come and relax. Little Stars has story/song time, play mats and toys available for all the children, plus toast as a snack. For the adults, we provide tea, coffee and biscuits (plus some toast for you too!).

2

Music and Story Time

Music and Story time is a time for stories, songs, puppets. Actions made with the songs, as well as toy time and use of musical instruments! It's a place for your pre-schooler to have fun and yourself to have a relaxing afternoon with some music and other parents/guardians.

Who Let The Coves Out

Who Let the Coves Out meets up once a month, where Coves and GrandCoves can come along with their wee ones to enjoy spending time with other dads and male guardians to give their blone's a morning off.

It is held in the same location as Little Stars, which is currently in the main Sanctuary of Martin's Memorial.

"I've enjoyed being able to meet new people. The ladies who run it are friendly and the underfloor heating is great. I've been able to make new friends and Little Stars is something I look forward to as it breaks up my day"

"Seeing a community of families with small children come together in a supportive, friendly and fun environment is heartwarming. Seeing the little ones grow and develop and getting to know them and their carers is a real privilege"

Music and Story Time

We aim to provide a welcoming, and relaxed time where adult and children enjoy a shared activity.
There are so many benefits to starting early with songs and rhymes. Studies have shown that children who enjoy music, singing and rhymes on a regular basis tend to learn to speak more easily, have more words to express themselves and are more confident and creative.

Held every Tuesday from 1:45-2:45 upstairs in the Shed. There is no cost, but donations are always welcome.
